Michael Cavanaugh is a charismatic performer and musician made famous for his piano and lead vocals in the Broadway musical Movin’ Out – for which he was handpicked by Billy Joel to star in the production. Cavanaugh definitely evokes a style rivaling the Piano Man!
With the close of Movin’ Out at the end of 2005 after over 1,200 performances and multiple accolades, Michael began touring in his own right. His interpretation of the modern rock/pop songbook led to Billboard calling him “The New Voice of the American Rock and Roll Songbook.” He brings one of his Singers & Songwriters shows to the Visiting Artists Series this season showcasing the music of Paul Simon, James Taylor and Billy Joel.
Matt Vee, along with cousins Jeff and Tommy Vee, local music scene veterans and sons of the legendary Bobby Vee, join forces with their family and friends as The Killer Vees to celebrate the music from Neil Diamond’s timeless catalog. The StepCrew is a dynamic dance production combining three styles of percussive dance – Irish, Tap, and Ottawa Valley – in a fully realized theatrical setting. The StepCrew achieves the ultimate balance of respecting traditional forms of dance and creating exciting modern fusions never seen or heard before.
The StepCrew was designed to boast not only the complex displays of grandiose staging and musicality, but also the pure talents of solo performers with nothing more than their feet, instruments, and voices to reach their audience. The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is considered one of the finest orchestras in the country. Since its inception in 1959, the MSO has continued to find new ways to deliver innovative music for area audiences, help young people develop an appreciation for music, and elevate Milwaukee’s reputation as an orchestral hub. Once again this season, the Cedarburg-Grafton Rotary Club presents the MSO’s holiday concert at Cedarburg PAC. (A student performance, funded by the Cedarburg PAC, Inc., with a grant from the Rita Edquist Memorial Fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, is also being offered by the MSO.)

The Lightfoot Band features the original band members – Rick Haynes on bass, Barry Keane on drums and percussion, Mike Heffernan on keyboards and Carter Lancaster on the lead guitars – who recorded the many memorable hits and toured for decades with the late, great Gordon Lightfoot. The Band is proud to introduce Andy Mauck as their lead vocalist.
Together, they are keeping Gordon’s music alive playing hits like “Sundown,” “Carefree Highway,” “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “Beautiful,” and “Early Morning Rain.” They will also relate some history and share “stories of the road.” Come for the songs and hear the stories, too!
